Cindy Searchfield

My role is to engage with organisations across the disability sector and work them to identify their training needs and barriers, and look at ways to address these including promoting training, leadership development and consumer leadership development grants.

I’ve had experience in a variety of frontline and leadership roles across the health and disability sector including non-government organisations, social services, home-based support services, and as professional advisor with the Needs Assessment Service Coordination (NASC).  I have a BA (Hons) in Applied Psychology from the University of Sussex and a Graduate Certificate in Professional Development and Supervision from the University of Auckland.

My experience has reinforced my commitment to quality disability support services that promote partnership and participation with disabled people and their families. 

I strongly believe that a well supported, competent workforce with the right values and attitudes is a key component to achieving this.
