Debra Tuifao

I provide quality assurance to Le Va's systems, processes and project deliverables; support the national manager  to manage and mitigate potential risks; identify potential new work; and lead the production of Le Va's monitoring reports. I work closely with the entire Le Va team and also with my colleagues within Te Pou.

I have a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts in Education and Classical Studies from Victoria University, Wellington. I was also admitted to the bar as a barrister and solictior of New Zealand. I have more than 14 years' experience working in the public health sector in a range of policy development, legal, and strategic roles in agriculture and forestry, and general health.

I am passionate and committed to ensuring equality for Pacific peoples, particularly in accessing quality health services. I joined the Ministry of Health in 2004, then joined Le Va in 2010.
