Jane Vanderpyl

I work within Te Pou and the mental health sector to advance the use of research and evaluation in ways that make a positive difference to the people who use mental health and addiction services. A key focus is supporting services to use the best available evidence to deliver services that work. I lead the research and evaluation group within Te Pou to develop useful resources, guides and tools.

Before I joined Te Pou, I worked in Counties Manukau DHB mental health services building a small research, evaluation and audit team. This included the development of a consumer-led evaluation group.

I completed my PhD at Auckland University and also graduated from the Blueprint Advanced Executive Leadership and Management Programme (AELMP). 

Don’t spend your precious time asking, 'why isn’t the world a better place?' It will only be time wasted. The question to ask is, 'how can I make it better?' To that, there is an answer. (Leo Buscaglia)
