Rob Gill

My role focuses on creating opportunities for Te Pou to improve outcomes for its stakeholders through better business processes and more effective collaboration.  I am supported by a small team comprising administrators, and programme and quality managers.

I have been a leader in the New Zealand disability sector for more than 18 years and am passionate about service development and improvement.

Recently, I played a major role in the developing individualised funding for disabled people in New Zealand.  I also worked as a planner and funder of disability services at the Ministry of Health where I led national service improvement and workforce initiatives.

I am passionate about life-long learning and hold qualifications in physical education and health service management from Otago and Massey Universities. I enjoy working as a change agent within the New Zealand disability sector, and place a high value on partnering with others to achieve sustainable service improvements.

I believe there is in us an instinct for goodness. We hanker after it, we recognise it when we encounter it, and we admire it. (Bishop Desmond Tutu)
