Profile
My current role is to assist with the responsibilities of the clinical lead for nursing. Over the next nine months my main areas of focus will be the Handover publication, Professional Supervision, and Sensory Modulation. I will also support the clinical team lead in developing and leading initiatives for nurses working across the mental health and addiction spectrum in New Zealand.
My 30 years of mental health nursing practice has been in a range of roles including clinical practice, forensic mental health, education, professional leadership and regulation. Prior to joining Te Pou I was nurse advisor: health for the Nursing Council of New Zealand and clinical nurse director: mental health and addictions for the Waikato District Health Board. I am a Fellow of Te Ao Maramatanga, New Zealand College of Mental Health Nurses.
