Disability grant funding update: July 2012

The Disability Workforce Development programme within Te Pou administers grant funding on behalf of the Ministry of Health. Between 1 January and 30 June 2012:
- 3,665 individuals were supported through the Disability Workforce Development scheme compared to 3,544 in the previous six month period
- the training grant is open all year round and one round each of the consumer leadership grant, the leadership grant and the open round training grant was held in this six month period
- 108 organisations accessed the four grants available
- despite being open only once during this period, the open round grant continues to receive the most applications from the sector.
