Disability Workforce Development - Update - August 2011

Grant funding administered by Disability Workforce Development between May 2010 and June 2011 is summarised in this factsheet.

Between May 2010 and June 2011, Disability Workforce Development has funded over 7,000 individuals on behalf of the Ministry of Health. Overall, 35 per cent of individuals have taken part in formal qualifications (such as the National Certificate in Community Support), and 41 per cent non-NZQA short courses (such as first aid, manual handling, health and safety). In total, 38 per cent of funding has been allocated leadership development and 31 per cent to consumer leadership development.
