Talking Therapies Research Update - December 2011

This edition presents mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MCBT), a psychological therapy proving effective for preventing relapse of depression. The growing evidence base for shorter forms of psychodynamic psychotherapy is highlighted. Evidence-based talking therapy for working with people who experience psychosis is presented. The update ends by featuring research reviewing the efficacy of new national programmes in England and the United States that aim to increase access to talking therapies.
