From the first trials of internet-based psychological therapies in the early 2000s, results have been compelling. Interest in e-therapies continues to grow among mental health professionals working in both primary and secondary care, funders, planners, and service users.
In 2005, the World Health Organization director-general wrote "there is a gap between today’s scientific advances and their application: between what we know and what is actually being done".
Platform Trust, along with Te Pou, assisted 10 mental health non-government organisations (NGOs) to use DoView to implement outcomes systems in their organisations.
The environment is a central factor for the treatment of people with acute mental health and addiction issues. It has long been speculated that the physical environment in which treatment occurs impacts on both the treatment process and the outcomes for service users.
