Site coordinators

Since 2004, site coordinators in district health board (DHB) provider arms have been pivotal in leading the implementation of outcomes collection in local mental health services. The work has been complex and varied, involving information workshops and presentations to staff, organisation and planning of IT system development, coordination of training and resources. Although it's still those things, it's also about building collection momentum and coaching staff to use mental health information.

In 2007 many site coordinators took on the added role of implementing the Programme for the Integration of Mental Health Data (PRIMHD). PRIMHD now operates in all 20 DHBs.

Te Pou and the site coordinators

The site coordinators are critical to ensuring the ongoing collection and production of good quality data by DHBs. Regular discussions and meetings take place with site coordinators, and their expertise is regularly sought for Te Pou working groups.

Te Pou regularly hosts forums to support outcomes development and leaders within DHBs. Presentations from the outcome leaders day held on 29 July 2011 are available for download.

Te Pou provides a members' only forum for site coordinators to share information and resources.
