Executive Leadership and Management Programmes

Inspirational leaders are needed across the mental health and addiction sector to drive the development of better, sooner, more convenient ways of serving people. Nurturing and developing future leaders is essential to growing and sustaining the sector. This includes managers, clinical leaders and service user leaders.

Te Pou provides the opportunity for emerging and current leaders to develop by sponsoring individuals to take part in leadership and management programmes delivered by Blueprint for Learning.

The Blueprint Executive Leadership and Management Programme is a year-long programme. Graduates of this course can choose to carry on their studies and enrol in the Blueprint Advanced Executive Leadership and Management Programme which is also a year-long programme. Both programmes enable people to translate theoretical learning into practice and establish networks within the mental health and addiction sector.

The programmes include postgraduate management papers delivered by The University of Waikato’s Management School and incorporate the Let’s get real framework. There is an emphasis on the significance of outcomes and the reality of operating in an environment with fiscal challenges and responsibilities.
