Te Pou
Leva Disability Workforce Development

Statistics 2008-2011

Te Pou has funded 1,058 places on Skills Matter training programmes since taking over the management of the Skills Matter contract in 2008.

In the 2010 and 2011 academic years, a total of 520 trainee places were funded, with 281 of these (54%) allocated to the New Entry to Specialist Practice (NESP) – Mental Health and Addiction Nursing programme.

This page includes graphs illustrating information about past and present Skills Matter-funded students, such as ethnicity, occupations, employers and age range. You'll also find facts and figures about the travel and accommodation assistance grant and information about the programmes which have been funded since 2008.

Note:

  • The data displayed is from 2008, as this is when Te Pou took over the management of the funding.
  • Charts show absolute numbers – that is, actual students rather than funded places. While in most cases, one funded place equates to one student, students on some programmes use part-funded places and so one funded place may support more than one student.
