I am an experienced leader and advocate in the disability community.  I enjoy empowering people through a range of governance and advisory roles, and community projects in the health and disability sector.

My main aim is to enhance respect and inclusion in society for all disabled people.  I am involved in the Kia Noho Rangatira Ai Tātou education programme, to raise awareness of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNCRPD).

I have a diverse background in voluntary youth work, violence prevention, social change, leadership and community networking activities.
