Te Pou is a hub of workforce and leadership development for the disability workforce. Disability services, disabled people and family/whānau can access information, tools and support from Te Pou. Grants are also available to support training and leadership development opportunities.
Te Pou is pleased to announce it has been confirmed as the Ministry of Health’s preferred supplier for the disability workforce programme for 2016-2020.
There have been significant changes to our contract, which have changed the focus of the programme as a whole.
While funding administration and support continue as an important part of the programme, there will be a greater focus on other areas including research and evaluation, workforce innovations, career promotion and planning, and sector collaboration and integration.
The strength of this new programme is that in addition to grant funding, it invests in a number of priority areas to effectively develop a workforce that provides the highest quality services to disabled people so that they can lead a good life.
We've also made some changes to the way grants are administered to the workforce. Find out more about disability workforce grants.
