Equally Well webinar - Ngā Waka O Matariki

During 2020, responding to the strategic priorities laid down by the interim leadership group, a small rōpū convened and created Ngā Waka O Matariki – the Equally Well Māori health strategy.

In this webinar rōpū members will share Ngā Waka O Matariki with you, to inspire you into actions which will optimise the mental health, addiction and physical health of Māori.

He Whakaputanga O Te Rangatiratanga O Nu Tireni 1835 (Declaration of Independence of New Zealand) and Te Tiriti O Waitangi 1840, ground Ngā Waka O Matariki. Collectively, the principles are tino rangatiratanga, equity, the right to live as Māori, to be accorded the same protection as every citizen of Aotearoa and the intertwining of Māori identity with whenua. ‘Ngā waka’ represents the many in the Equally Well collaborative navigating mental and physical health equity in partnership with Māori.
