After very careful consideration, the Leadership Exchange will be held in October 2022.
The International Initiative for Mental Health Leadership (IIMHL) and the International Initiative for Disability Leadership (IIDL) organise systems for leaders to share innovations, network and problem solve across countries and agencies. The overall aim is to promote mental health and well-being for everyone. This includes developing leaders who can create the best possible conditions for mental health and well-being in all sectors across the life-span. Equally, it includes developing leaders who can deliver the best possible outcomes for people who use mental health, addiction and disability support services and their families.
The theme of the 2022 Leadership Exchange is:
“Valuing Inclusion, Resilience and Growth” “Kaingākautia te Whakawhāiti Tāngata, te Ngākau Manawaroa, te Puāwaitanga o te Tangata”
The leadership exchange involves registering, selecting and attending a virtual “match” that resonates with your work, and the option of attending a 2-day meeting event in Christchurch on 26 and 27 October, 2022.
Attendance at the leadership exchange requires substantial commitment and contribution to the initiative, with expectations of longer-term ongoing connections. People must apply to become a member of the IIMHL or IIDL in order to register for the leadership exchange.
Registration for the IIMHL exchange can be completed on the IIMHL website, and for the IIDL exchange on the IIDL website.
