MHFA Aotearoa Standard First Aid Training

Join us for our next MHFA 2-day Training in Whangarei. This training is suitable for anyone who wants to learn how to recognise warning signs of mental ill health and develop the skills and confidence to approach and support a friend, family member or co-worker while keeping yourself safe.

Not suitable for anyone experiencing illness, not suitable for youth.

This course is an R19.This training is Thursday and Friday 20 and 21 June, Whangarei venue TBC. These trainings are from 0830am arrival for a 0900 start, closing at 5pm. Lunch is provided as is tea, coffee and refreshments.

In this training you will gain:

  • An in depth understanding of Mental Health and the factors that can affect wellbeing.
  • Practical skills to spot the triggers and signs of mental health issues.
  • Confidence to step in, reassure a person in distress.
  • Enhanced interpersonal skills such as non-judgmental listening.

You will receive a MHFA Course manual, a quick reference action plan and will be trained in person by accredited Mental Health First Aid Trainers Sharon Gibson and Kirsty Pillay-Hansen. In addition, you will receive a personalised certificate (Valid for 3-years).
