Become a HoNOSI trainer - Tuesday 29 April 2025

The purpose of this free training is to provide all the necessary resources and skills for anyone who wants to become a HoNOSI trainer.

This condensed national three-module training will equip clinicians with the necessary skills and knowledge to become HoNOSI trainers within their own Te Whatu Ora district or NGO service.  The training is open to any mental health clinician in NZ who wants to be a trainer.

Our ideal participant will:

  • have a keen interest in becoming a HoNOSI trainer for your Te Whatu Ora district or NGO
  • be able to commit to delivering training to other staff, and support other HoNOS trainers in your organisation.

To become a HoNOSI trainer, people must complete all three of the following modules. Attendance is free.

  • Module 1 9 to 11am - Introducing outcome measurement and the HoNOS family of measures
  • Module 2 11.30am to 1.30pm - The HoNOSI measure
  • Module 3 2 to 4pm - Using HoNOSI data/information and becoming a trainer.

Your expected outcomes:

  • learn how to collect HoNOSI measures data reliably
  • view national HoNOSI data
  • learn how information can be useful at individual and team levels
  • receive guidance on training others
  • learn where to find resources and how to access ongoing support.
