Understanding Autism in NZ: Building a skilled workforce to meet the needs of autistic people and whānau - 30 Nov AM

Join us for an interactive workshop to better understand Te Tau Tītoki: A framework for supporting people on the autism spectrum and learn about key issues facing autistic people and whānau.

The event will feature a panel presentation on the current landscape of autism in Aotearoa, including a lived experience perspective, with a focus on the workforce and the skills that are needed to provide timely and meaningful support.

It will also include group conversations to hear from others and discuss what the autistic community hopes for as the disability system undergoes significant transformation with the national implementation of Enabling Good Lives.

As this is an interactive session, participants will be limited to 25 people.

[This event is intended for autistic people and whānau only. Please see other opportunities for workforce engagement.]
