Autism Leadership Series

Implementing Te Tau Tītoki

Implementing Te Tau Tītoki

This year Te Pou o te Whakaaro Nui is launching a series of workshops aimed at Individualised Funding (IF) employers and Disability Support Service (DSS) providers to implement Te Tau Tītoki

The programme will be co-facilitated by autistic people alongside professionals with clinical expertise in autism and a pragmatic understanding of service delivery.

Comprising three face-to-face workshops, the Autism Leadership Series will:

  • move beyond basic knowledge of the autism spectrum
  • focus on understanding what wellbeing means for autistic people and how to plan and deliver services that are designed to enhance people’s quality of life
  • include coaching sessions to support workplace implementation.

As part of the programme, participants will be expected to:

  • develop a workplace action plan
  • present on how the changes have made an impact in the lives of the people they’re supporting.
