Working with Māori

Working with Māori online learning modules assist workers to increase their understanding of working effectively with Māori tāngata whai ora and whānau to improve health outcomes. Our very popular Working with Māori e-learning has been updated to reflect the values, attitudes, knowledge and skills of the essential level of the refreshed Let's get real Real Skill Working with Māori. The new module is also more easily navigated, accessible and compatible with a wide range of devices and browsers.

Working with people experiencing mental health and addiction needs

He Whakapāpā, He Oranga – Engaging for Wellbeing has been replaced with Tātou tātou: being with people and whānau. The new online learning modules assist workers to increase their understanding of how to engage effectively with tangata mātau ā-wheako (people with lived experience) and whānau to help them achieve their wellbeing goals.

The Working with whānau e-learning modules assist workers to increase their understanding of working effectively with whānau to improve health outcomes. This e-learning reflects the values, attitudes, knowledge, and skills of the essential level of the refreshed Let’s get real Real Skill Working with whānau. These skills are essential for all people working in New Zealand health services.

Working within communities

Everyone working in health recognises that people and whānau who experience mental health challenges or addiction issues are part of their communities.

This essential level e-learning provides opportunities to explore and reflect on topics that relate to the Working within communities Real Skill.

Tātou tātou: being with people and whānau

These modules are part of the Let’s get real Real Skill: Working with people experiencing mental health and addiction needs. This e-learning replaces the He Whakapāpā, He Oranga – Engaging for Wellbeing e-learning. The new online learning modules assist workers to increase their understanding of how to engage effectively with tangata mātau ā-wheako (people with lived experience) and whānau to help them achieve their wellbeing goals.

Trauma-informed and responsive approaches

The focus of this e-learning module is the 'enhanced' level of trauma-informed approaches explicit in several of the Real Skills. The 'enhanced' level describes these approaches for the mental health and addiction workforce regardless of role, profession or organisation.
