The purpose of the symposium was to hear about systems change recommendations from key leaders in response to He Ara Oranga: Report of the Government Inquiry into Mental Health and Addiction, and to prepare for change by introducing a framework to support the sector to implement sustainable change.

Key speakers from the panel of the Government Inquiry into Mental Health and Addiction, the Ministry of Health and lived experience spoke to the need for change.

The afternoon session explored a different way of looking at change from a systems perspective.
