Leading sustainable change was a one-day national mental health and addiction sector symposium hosted by Te Pou o te Whakaaro Nui and Werry Workforce Whāraurau.
Over 300 people were in attendance either at the venue or livestreaming.
The purpose of the symposium was to hear about systems change recommendations from key leaders in response to He Ara Oranga: Report of the Government Inquiry into Mental Health and Addiction, and to prepare for change by introducing a framework to support the sector to implement sustainable change.
Key speakers from the panel of the Government Inquiry into Mental Health and Addiction, the Ministry of Health and lived experience spoke to the need for change.
The afternoon session explored a different way of looking at change from a systems perspective.
