My Life My Voice Charitable Trust is a new disabled person-led group. We offer meaningful support, information and connections that assist disabled people and their whānau to plan for, and have, their good life. Our supports are disabled-person led so that the disabled person has choice and control over decisions made about their life.
We seek an administrator to work closely with our Business Manager and Programme Coordinator to provide comprehensive support.
Ideally you will have a lived experience of disability and experience working with disabled people and their whānau. The role would suit someone who is self-motivated, can work autonomously and uses their initiative to get things done. You must be able to build strong trusted relationships and be committed to a disability rights approach, Te Tiriti o Waitangi and the UN Conventions, Rights of a Disabled person.
You will need to have proven experience administration, be highly organise and extremely thorough with excellent time management skills. An excellent level of software skills, including social media platforms, Microsoft Office 365 and Xero is required.
Other skills and competencies we are looking for:
- Understanding of the Enabling Good Lives vision and principles
- Experience of working in an environment that requires a high level of discretion, sensitivity and interpersonal interaction
- Experience in website administration and social media platform communication.
Due to government funding, this is a part time position (from 15 - 18 hours per week) for a fixed term up to 30 June 2022. The location of work can be anywhere in Aotearoa, working from home, or at our office based in Palmerston North. We are really open to flexibility and the role being job shared, based on skills and strengths of applicants.
