The Role | Mō tēnei tūranga mahi
Reporting to the Team Coach, our casual roles provide cover for permanent Support Workers - the hours of work are not regular and are offered when they become available. We operate 7 days a week.
In this role you will:
- Support people in a mental health respite setting, working individually and as part of a team.
- Have good people skills and able to work independently and within a wider team.
- Be busy supporting people with budgeting and independent daily living skills.
- Attending appointments and advocating for people.
- Might be assisting people to connect with their communities.
- Be prepared to do whatever it takes for the people we support - cleaning, cooking, gardening, personal care or helping with everyday tasks.
This is a casual role where the shift pattern can be as follows:
- AM shift – 7.00am to 3.30pm
- PM shift – 3.00pm to 11.30pm
- Awake shift – 11.00pm to 7.00am
You | Mōu
Applicants must have;
- a Level 4 in Mental Health and Wellbeing Certificate, Psychology, education, sport and nutrition (preferred)
- a current full New Zealand driver’s licence.
- a current first aid certificate or be willing to obtain one.
- the knowledge of, and demonstrable commitment to, the articles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
