Clinical Coordinator - Adult Community Mental Health Team

The Adult MH team provides responses for acute and non acute mental health needs in our local community, through our Community Mental Health Team, Crisis Respite & Recovery Centre (5 bed), and referral to other DHB Inpatient services if required.

We are looking for a person who has commitment and passion to support the Charge Nurse Manager to lead and manage a multidisciplinary clinical team in its achievement of effective outcomes for clients. We encourage innovative service responses, coaching the professional development and special interests in the team, being involved in service planning and development as part of the mental health management group, and maintaining positive links with the wider local and regional services and communities.

To be successful in this full time position, you will be an experienced Mental Health clinician with a suitable qualification in nursing, occupational therapy, psychology or social work and with a proven record of leadership skills in building a cohesive team. You will also be highly organised with exceptional interpersonal and staff management skills, a thorough understanding of quality improvement and clinical processes, and able to demonstrate a high degree of self awareness and reflection.

We offer Professional Development, peer support, clinical supervision and encourage continuing education. We also work in consultation and close liaison with the Regional Specialist Services and arrange access to tertiary facilities as required.

This is a permanent full time position, working 80 hours per fortnight, actual hours to be agreed upon. There is also a requirement to participate on the after hours on call roster.

This role will be based at the Wairarapa DHB in Masterton. However, this role is are part of the 3DHB MHAIDS service, and all MHAIDS employees are now under the employment of Capital & Coast DHB.
