We’re looking for a Registered Nurses to join our peer-led acute alternative service which provides the people of Canterbury with an alternative to a hospital admission when they are experiencing acute mental distress.

Pathways | Mō mātou

We're passionate about supporting people with experience of mental illness or addictions - we’ve been dedicated to it for 30 years. We provide community-based mental health, addiction and wellbeing services throughout New Zealand, supporting around 6000 adults and young people in communities all through New Zealand each year to live well in the communities of their choice. About the role | Mō tēnei tūranga mahi

The role is 32 hours per week 3.00pm- 11.30pm Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. In this role you’ll help identify and meet peoples individual health and social needs and support them to re-connect with community services and take control of their own lives. You will conduct physical assessments and support people with goal planning. This role entails supporting the operational management and support and education to other team members, including developing and implementing innovative quality improvements to ensure service is offered at highest standard.

Skills & Experience | Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako

We’re looking for someone who is passionate about implementing innovative ideas and solutions and providing exceptional clinical support.

You will also :

  • Be a qualified registered nurse, ideally with experience in the mental health sector
  • Have a full New Zealand driver’s license
  • Have a passion to work with a diverse population and take a non-judgmental approach
  • Ideally you’ll have knowledge of the Nelson Health and Social Services sectors

The Covid-19 Public Health Response (Vaccinations) Order 2021 requires staff working in health-related services to be fully vaccinated (this includes any subsequent boosters).
