Clinical Nurse Coordinator - Central Region Eating Disorder Service (MHAIDS)

This is a rare opportunity to join a unique team – The Central Region Eating Disorder Service (CREDS) is looking for a dynamic, energetic and experienced Clinical Nurse Coordinator to join their unique multi-disciplinary team.

CREDS offers treatment and therapy services to individuals with eating disorders, as part of the Mental Health, Addictions and Intellectual Disability Service (MHAIDS) operated by the Wairarapa, Hutt Valley and Capital and Coast District Health Boards. They provide a full range of specialist services to people with eating disorders in the greater Wellington area – from nutritional counseling, outpatient therapy and psycho-social education through to a 6-bed Residential Programme and a 7am-7pm therapeutic Day Programme.

This exciting role will involve oversight of our Residential Programme and supporting a team of nurses and support workers. If you are passionate about restoring the wellness of those impacted by eating disorders, have excellent clinical skills and enjoy working amongst a tight-knit and caring team then do apply.

Skills & experience

  • Registration with the NZ Nursing Council, with scope to Practice in Mental Health
  • Current APC
  • Experience working with individuals with eating disorders and their families

Capital and Coast DHB (CCDHB) is located centrally in Wellington and has over 6,000 full-time equivalent staff, making us one of the major employers in the Wellington region. CCDHB operates two hospitals – Wellington Regional Hospital in Newtown and Kenepuru Hospital in Porirua – as well as the Kapiti Health Centre at Paraparaumu.

The Mental Health, Addiction and Intellectual Disability Service (MHAIDS) spans three DHBs - Wairarapa, Hutt Valley and Capital and Coast DHB’s and includes local, regional, and national services. The local MHAIDS services are provided from multiple sites within the 3DHB sub-region – greater Wellington, Hutt Valley and Wairarapa.
