Clinical Psychologist

Child Health

Dunedin Hospital, Paediatric Outpatients

  • Fixed-term, part-time position (0.75 FTE, 30 hours per week)
  • Make a difference in the lives of our young patients

We are looking for an experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our multi-disciplinary Children's Outpatients team here at Dunedin Hospital. You will be working with children and young people (and their families and caregivers) to provide a wide range of psychological servicesacross our District.

Our ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Knowledgeable and experienced in the child and adolescent mental health field
  • Experience in clinical neuropsychology testing with children
  • Able to demonstrate excellent assessment (including risk assessment), formulation, and treatment planning and therapy skills
  • A confident and effective communicator, truly passionate about your work
  • Unwavering in their belief in people's recovery
  • Be able to undertake District travel to Invercargill as part of their role
  • To be considered you must be registered with the New Zealand Psychologists Board with a Clinical Psychologist scope and hold a current Annual Practising Certificate
  • A current New Zealand driver; s licence will also be required
