Clinical Psychologist - Mental Health Service for Older People

Mental Health and Addictions Service 80 hours per fortnight Job Number: WAI03384 We are looking for a Clinical Psychologist to conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and provide psychological therapy to clients over the age of 65 years with a wide range of mental health problems. You would be working alongside supportive psychology colleagues who have established expertise within this specialist area. You would formulate and implement therapy confidently from a strong theoretical orientation. Neuropsychological interest and experience is an advantage but not a necessity. There will be an opportunity to develop a new role providing some dedicated time for psychology input and consultancy to the MHSOP inpatient ward. This position provides an exciting opportunity to work as part of our enthusiastic, multidisciplinary team committed to providing excellent evidence-based biopsychosocial mental health care. There are strong links with the Waikato University psychology training programme support for professional development and there is committed clinical leadership across the mental health service.
