Where you’ll be working: Rural South Sector, Waikato

The details: Permanent, 80 hours per fortnight (1.0 FTE)

One of our long-serving psychologists has just moved away and we are now looking for a Clinical Psychologist to join the Rural South Community Mental Health Team - working with adults experiencing moderate to severe mental health difficulties.

We are looking for an experienced clinical psychologist to apply their skills, knowledge and understanding to a varied caseload. Ideally you will be experienced in providing therapeutic interventions, solutions and advocacy with adults experiencing mental health difficulties to achieve their optimal mental wellbeing. You will be working within a supportive MDT under experienced and stable management as well as close professional support. We are a friendly and welcoming team that values the contribution clinical psychology makes.

As a rural service we cover a large geographical area including Te Awamutu, Tokoroa, Te Kuiti and Taumarunui, therefore a willingness to travel within work time is essential. The base for this position is in Te Awamutu which allows for a generous array of options for where to live and within a reasonable price range. We are just 30 mins from Hamilton, an easy drive to Tauranga and Rotorua and within simple reach of beautiful lakes, rivers and native forests along with all the sporting and outdoor activities you could wish to do.
