The Team: What we do
CAF North, a Child, Adolescent & Family community based Mental Health Service, is a specialist mental health team that provides assessment and treatment of young people up to 18 years of age (older if still at High School), who present with moderate to severe mental health problems. The service works very closely with their families/ whanau, and covers from Christchurch to Kaikoura.
Young people can have a challenging time – imagine adolescence and mental health combined. It can be immensely satisfying helping them and their family / whanau to see the change and positive future possibilities.
At CAF North, we are strong on supporting our staff develop the skills necessary to work effectively in this demanding area of healthcare. The service is after a Community Mental Health Nurse to play a key role in our team.
