Community Support Worker - Karori Day Shift

Work as part of the Disability Support Team supporting four people in their own home environment and connecting with their community.

The Hours:

The position is fulltime working 80 hours per fortnight in the Disability Support Team supporting four people in their own home based in Karori.

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday working 6.30am through until 3pm every week.

This is a Fixed Term Position from Monday 4th July 2022 until Sunday 6th August 2023

The Role Requires:

  • A great attitude and passion to support people to achieve their potential
  • A person who can swim is preferable
  • You to be competent in supporting people with complex health needs, challenging behaviours, and personal cares
  • Working from an evidence-based recovery approach (Te Whare Tapa Wha: Whanau Directed Principles)
  • A national certificate in disability support, or relevant qualification or commitment to working towards a qualification funded by MASH
  • You to hold a current full drivers licence and a current first aid certificate
