Employment Consultant/ Kairapu Tuuranga Mahi

Workwise employment consultants/ kairapu tuuranga mahi have a really unique job. We work with people/ taangata whai mahi who are facing personal or health challenges and help them to find and keep work.

Are you someone who enjoys making a difference in people’s lives? You will work closely with people accessing community mental health and addictions support, social services, government agencies, training providers and employers.

No two days are the same as an employment consultant. We work alongside people and their whaanau, who have a range of backgrounds, cultures and experiences.

Fixed-term, full-time position available, working Monday- Friday, 8.30am- 5.00pm.

This is a fixed-term role, ending on 31 March 2022.

The Team

You’ll be reporting to the team leader and joining our Auckland team. The team covers South, Central and West Auckland.

  • Good at building relationships and excited by achieving results for people and communities.
  • Love being part of a team, but can confidently work independently.
  • Able to think quickly and problem-solve effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Are experienced working in the social service, addiction, youth, mental health, disability, employment or aligned sectors.

It is preferred that applicants hold the New Zealand Level 4 Certificate in Health and Wellbeing or a recognised equivalent. Alternatively, you can commence study towards this within six months of starting your employment with Workwise. Supporting you

We will support you by ensuring you have the tools needed to be successful, including access to a laptops, cars and mobile phone. We offer good opportunities for training and development.
