FOCUS Manager

We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated person to lead our Needs Assessment and Service Coordination and Disability Support Services team. This role is an exciting opportunity to provide operational management and leadership for the FOCUS team, and to work closely with people with disability and older adults to extend manaakitanga and support them to live well within their whānau and community.

In this role you will lead a team of knowledgeable health professionals and administration staff, and work closely alongside DHB Community & Integration services, inpatient wards and primary care teams. The Wairarapa DHB values of manaakitanga – respect, auaha – innovation, kotahitanga – relationships and eke taumata – equity will be integral to how you work. The FOCUS team undertakes assessment and service coordination in the inpatient setting at Wairarapa Hospital, and with clients in their own homes and residential care settings across the Wairarapa region.

You will have at least five years’ experience including a management role, and will have a sound knowledge of NASC and Disability Support Services function. You will have a strong client centred approach, superb communication skills and the ability to form strong collaborative relationships with stakeholders across a range of settings.

This is a permanent full time position, working Monday to Friday. The role is based in Masterton.
