The role | Mō tēnei tūranga mahi
This role is based in Hamilton/Kirikiriroa with potential to travel across the Waikato region during work hours.
Focusing on collaboration, the service works with other providers to support whānau wellbeing and housing stability.
In this role you will work closely with key stakeholders to:
- Review and coordinate housing referrals using a whānau centred approach
- Undertake assessments and reviews focused on the whānau wellbeing and housing needs
- Build enduring relationships with the people you support and work with them to minimise any barriers to housing or housing stability
- Work in partnership with other agencies working in the housing and social space, to support people to access housing and sustain their housing
- Identify on-going support and safety needs and wrap around plans for whānau in social housing to help them progress their living situation in line with their goals and aspirations.
About You | Mōu
We’d love to hear from individuals who have experience in the family/ whānau and social sectors.
- A Level 4 certificate in Health or Social Services or be committed to studying towards this qualification while working.
- A confident communicator and relationship builder.
- Ability to work at pace and flourish under pressure.
- Proficiency in record keeping and exceptional ability to organise and coordinate multiple tasks.
- Knowledge of, and demonstrable commitment to, the principles of the Te Tiriti o Waitangi and working with Māori and Pasifika.
- A current full New Zealand driver’s licence.
