Kaitūruki AOD Practitioner

Waiora Hinengaro (Vocations, Mental Health and Addiction Services) at Te Oranganui have a position in the team. Your work will include both one to one with tangata whai ora and whānau as well as being part of the community group programmes. Your practice will need to be based on whānau ora with the knowledge and skill of addiction work.


The ideal applicant will have a passion for the health and wellbeing of people, be committed to providing the best possible work with whānau and work very well with others in a team. Your communication must be effective with all people in all settings and you must feel comfortable with facilitating groups.


Other requirements are to have a registration covered by the dapaanz and/or Health Practitioner’s Competence Assurance Act 2003 or the Social Workers’ Registration Act 2019, be computer literate, and have a full drivers license. Extensive experience in one to one AoD work is essential.


This is a permanent position working Monday to Friday, 8.00am - 5.00pm with minimal work outside of these hours.
