Wairarapa DHB Mental Health Services includes Maori Mental Health clinical positions across the Adult and CAMHS community MH teams.
We welcome interest in this position from registered mental health clinicians (e.g. OT, Social Work, Clinical Psychology or Nursing) who identify as Maori and are confident and competent in delivering services within a Te Ao Maori framework for tangata whaiora and their whanau living in the Wairarapa.
The Maori Mental Health clinician employed to this position will work as a member of the CAMHS team, contributing their specialty knowledge/perspectives for tangata whaiora and whanau and within the multidisciplinary team.
The specialist cultural knowledge and skills that Maori clinicians bring to these roles will be recognised and supported through linkages with the WDHB Maori Health Unit and local Iwi.
This is a permanent full time position working 80 hours per fortnight. This position may include rostered After Hours Crisis Service On Call duties.
Links with other Maori health providers and the wider local community are also a key to these roles.
This role will be based at the Wairarapa DHB in Masterton. However, this role is part of the 3DHB MHAIDS service, and MHAIDS has now moved to a lead DHB model effective from 31 August 2020 which means that all MHAIDS employees are under the employment of Capital & Coast DHB from this date.
