Specialist Addiction Services - Wakari Hospital

About the role
As part of this dedicated team you'll have your own case load of clients on Opioid Substitution Treatment (OST) meaning your days will be busy and varied. OST Case Management will be the primary workload of this role. You'll have regular contact with other DHB Health Services, and NGO's, so you must be an excellent communicator who is adept at interacting with your clients, colleagues and external organisations, always striving to ensure the best results, with a holistic wrap around approach.
You will bring to this role a solid understanding of addiction issues and experience in working with clients with co-existing-problems (CEP) and you'll be able to demonstrate strength in screening, assessment, brief intervention, and clear decision making skills. Desirable skills and experience relate to mental health and physical health assessment, ideally with at least two years experience, however consideration will be given to applicants who have an interest in specialist addictions and are willing to undertake post graduate study in Drug and Alcohol.

You will be a Registered Mental Health Professional with a current APC (Occupational Therapist, Social Worker, or DAPAANZ registered clinician. It is desirable that you hold relevant post graduate qualifications.
