Service: Mental Health, Addictions & Intellectual Disability Service MHAIDS (Te Whare O Matairangi, Wellington Hospital)
About the role
Provide support to RNs and Mental Health clients in a 24 hour acute admission unit. Helping clients on their road to recovery. You will be working under the delegation and authority of a registered nurse and be part of a wider multidisciplinary team.
- At least NZQA level 3 or higher certificate or equivalent qualification or willingness to work towards this qualification (for the right candidate)
- Hold a full drivers’ licence
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience in Mental Health desirable
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable
- Able to pass a police and MOJ check and have no criminal convictions

The Mental Health, Addiction and Intellectual Disability Service (MHAIDS) spans three DHBs - Wairarapa, Hutt Valley and Capital and Coast DHB’s and includes local, regional, and national services. The local MHAIDS services are provided from multiple sites within the 3DHB sub-region – greater Wellington, Hutt Valley and Wairarapa.
