The Inpatient Mental Health Unit is a 16 bed purpose-built facility that supports people from across Southland requiring acute mental health care and treatment. Our multi-disciplinary team works in close partnership with our community teams, and local education providers to facilitate a working environment that is supportive, and reflects evidence of ongoing professional growth whilst meeting the needs of a diverse population with mental illness.
Mōu ake - About you
We are looking for an experienced nurse (New Zealand Registered, with a current Annual Practising Certificate) to join the team as part of a Collaborative Model of Nursing Care team.
Ideally you will be a Registered Nurse with relevant mental health nursing experience (preferably in an acute mental health setting) however if you think you have what we are looking for and have an interest in mental health then we look forward to hearing from you.

Utu whānui - Salary range
This role belongs to the Te Whatu Ora and NZNO Collective Agreement and falls between Step 2 ($81,683 p.a. pro-rata) and Step 7 ($106,739) p.a. pro-rata of the Registered Nurse Salary Scale.
