Night Support Worker

Our Te Wairua (co-existing disorders) programme in Counties Manukau conducts a unique modified residential based Therapeutic Community. We are now seeking a skilled and caring full time (40 hours per week) Night Support Worker to join our team.

This position primarily involves working overnight, doing regular checks of the premises, supporting residents with concerns, completing administrative tasks and requires the successful applicant to be awake during their shift.

You will be required to work 4 nights per week. The nights of work for this role are Sunday to Wednesday. Each shift will go from 9.00pm to 7.00am

The ideal applicants will have:

  • A level 4 certificate in health or a related field
  • A willingness to embrace the Therapeutic Community (TC) model
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Previous overnight working experience
  • Experience working in the AOD/mental health field
  • Commitment to the Treaty of Waitangi
  • Proven reliability
  • The ability to work autonomously
  • A full, clean driver’s licence
