Parent to Parent is a family leadership disability organisation providing services and support for whānau supporting disabled whānau members. We help families to hold a holistic and aspirational vision for all members of their whānau, supporting them with connection, information and training. We believe that all families should have choice and control over their lives. We have around 30 staff serving families from Southland to the Far North of New Zealand, with a national office in Hamilton.
We are looking for an operations manager with the professional skills and emotional intelligence to embed our recent successes and develop and implement the processes we need to continue the growth of this special organisation.
The Operations Manager will have a key role in shaping the future of our organisation. You will manage our finance, philanthropic funding, training and communications (creative) teams and associated strategy, planning, budgeting, and reporting functions. Risk, quality, IT, policy and health and safety responsibilities are all part of this role.
At Parent to Parent NZ, you will have the opportunity to create positive and lasting change in the lives of 1000s of disability families throughout New Zealand. You will work with passionate and knowledgeable colleagues who care deeply about supporting disability families and whānau to live good lives and to embrace their rights to do so.
We are here for families. Many of our staff and all our board members have lived experience as whānau or disabled people. We believe passionately in the right of all disabled people and their families to live a good life, aligned with the Enabling Good Lives Vision and Principles, the New Zealand Disability Strategy, and the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with a Disability. We actively work to address equity issues for all disabled people and whānau and to address our obligations under Te Tiriti O Waitangi.
You are looking for a role that enables you to make a real contribution every day. You enjoy autonomy, variety, and the opportunity to help develop and strengthen an organisation and to position it for future growth. You are someone who cares deeply about people and actively coach and mentor your colleagues.
You are a strategic thinker, with strong operations experience and exceptional communication and relationship management skills that enable you to connect with and inspire your team and stakeholders.
