Professional Advisor – Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) Services (1.0FTE)

Achieving the best health outcomes for people accessing our services starts with expecting the best from ourselves. Northland DHB is looking for an exceptional senior AOD Clinician to join our Mental Health & Addiction Service to provide effective leadership to the AOD workforce.

Reporting directly to the General Manager of the service this is a fantastic opportunity to make meaningful change across the AOD service. We are about to embark on a review process to, redevelop the model of care to ensure we deliver services that meet the needs of the community and improve outcomes for Māori.

To be successful in this role you will have 5+ years relevant clinical experience within AOD, hold full DAPAANZ registration and have a background in CEP. As an effective leader you will have experience supervising other clinicians to achieve the best outcome for people accessing the service, with a thorough understanding of Māori Health and addiction models, and ideally a post graduate qualification in Mental Health & Addiction studies.
