About the role

The Professional Development Facilitator reports to the Director of Nursing and Allied Health and is responsible for continually improving, monitoring and evaluating the ongoing competence and fitness to practice of our clinical workforce. You will ensure that they have a sound onboarding experience and access to a wide range of ongoing professional development and educational opportunities, including support with post graduate study.

You will also lead the development and delivery of a new graduate entry to practice programme, facilitate undergraduate student placements and provide expert coaching and mentoring to our Clinical Leads and Service Delivery teams so they can grow and support our new clinical team members.

What you will bring

  • Current registration as a Health Professional and a current Annual Practising Certificate (APC)
  • A current Professional Development Recognition Programme Portfolio appropriate to the role
  • Hold or willing to undertake Professional Development Recognition Programme Assessor training
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of undergraduate nursing/allied health curricula
  • A sound understanding of and experience in applying professional registration body competencies
  • Ability to articulate evidence-based research into practice
  • An intermediate to advanced skill set and knowledge in teaching, mentoring and coaching a clinical workforce
  • Relevant post graduate qualification(s)and significant experience working in the community
