Recovery Capital Lead - Peer Navigator

We are now seeking a full-time permanent Recovery Capital Lead & Peer Navigator to join our Organisational Development and Support team at Odyssey.

This role is primarily responsible for supporting the ongoing development and integration of a culturally responsive, peer-focused, and strengths-based recovery capital model within Odyssey’s services.

A key responsibility related to this position will also be the establishment and maintenance of relationships with community-based services and the identification of resources that will support the reintegration of tāngata whai ora into the community.

As a part of this role, you will also providing practical support and walk alongside tāngata whai ora, whānau, and Odyssey kaimahi (employees), using a social recovery approach and tools.

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • 2-3 years’ relevant work experience, including experience of working in a social services, addictions and/or mental health care setting.
  • A relevant qualification (min. level 5/6) e.g. relevant national diploma
  • One year’s relevant experience using recovery capital approaches in practice.
  • Lived experience of alcohol or other drug and/or of mental health challenges
  • Knowledge of peer community resources and support networks
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with a range of stakeholders
  • Ability to work effectively with people from different cultures and backgrounds, recognising their individual needs.
  • A full drivers licence

In return we offer:

  • A salary between $75,940 and $83,865 depending on skills and experience.
  • An allocated petrol allowance.
