Our team (CMHAS MHAIDS) have a permanent fulltime vacancy for an Addiction Registered Mental Health Nurse.

Our service values include integrity, team work, professionalism, and a regard for other and we have a friendly and supportive multi-disciplinary team of health professionals who are passionate about assisting/supporting tangata whaiora/whanau experiencing mental health and addiction issues.

Kōrero mō te tūranga – About the role

You will be providing high quality nursing care and undertaking psychiatric & addiction assessment, treatment planning and reviews which have a recovery focus for tangata whaiora/consumers/family

Being a great communicator is important too, as you will also be the Liaison with other health providers and MHAIDS teams, NGOs, PHOs social and government agencies to facilitate care and treatments for service users.

Skills & Experience

  • Demonstrated experience working with people with Mental and Addiction health issues.
  • Post Graduate certificate in Mental Health and/or Addiction
  • Active involvement and progression along the PDRP
  • Ability to provide person / family centered care, using current evidence to assist people to achieve their optimum health
  • Experience working with tangata whaiora with mental health experience
