About the team
Ward 11 rehabilitation/transition mental health unit is a 16 bed inpatient unit working with those on their mental health recovery journey.
Bring your exceptional communications skills, non-judgmental manner and positive attitude and join the team at Ward 11, an Inpatient Mental Health rehabilitation/sub-acute setting based at Wakari Hospital, Dunedin, for adults who have a long term mental illness and co-existing problems.
You'll bring to this role experience working within an adult mental health environment and having additional clinical skills in the areas of physical health and addictions could be a significant advantage.
To be considered you must be a NZ Registered Nurse with a current annual practicing certificate with a scope that allows you to practice in mental health, and holding a full clean drivers licence.
All employees of the Southern District Health Board working with in Mental Health and Addiction Services are expected to demonstrate a commitment to "The Seven Real Skills" (Te Pou Workforce Development, see www.tepou.co.nz/letsgetreal).

Covid vaccination requirements
Following the update to COVID-19 Public Health Response (Vaccinations) Order 2021, to be employed with Southern DHB you will be required to be fully vaccinated as a health care worker.
