Registered Nurse (Community)

  • We are seeking for energetic, dynamic and enthusiastic RN's
  • Join our South Auckland team (Papatoetoe, Manukau, Manurewa, and near suburbs).
  • Monday to Friday positions with some weekend work.

The role

This role would suit a Registered Nurse who has previous experience with Orthopaedic/spinal patients, experienced wound assessment skills and experience in Catheter management and PICC lines.

This is a demanding and rapidly changing role within a Community environment, supported by experienced Registered Health Professionals and diverse multi-disciplinary teams. Clinical and operational leadership is provided by a Team Leader, a Senior Registered Nurse, and a structured senior nursing team, which is led by our Director of Nursing including an active PDRP programme.

This role involves working independently visiting allocated clients, delivering predominantly ACC related nursing, wound care, burns, long-term injury support, catheter and medication management.

You will utilise your nursing knowledge, assessment skills and professional judgement to provide clinical support, case management, education and advocacy to your clients, so they can remain as independent as possible.

  • Ability to develop a professional rapport with a wide range of clients,
  • Approachable personality for the wider interdisciplinary team, colleagues and referrers to naturally turn to you for advice and support.

What qualities and competencies are we looking for?

  • A current NZ practising certificate
  • A full NZ driver's licence
  • Minimum two years nursing experience in NZ
  • Competent computer skills - email, computer based assessments, smartphones and tablets are used in this role
