Team: What we do
Based at Hillmorton Hospital, Kennedy is a 6-bed inpatient unit providing specialist medical withdrawal management and stabilisation for those affected by alcohol and drug misuse. We are seeking an engaged and motivated Registered Nurse, who will work collaboratively with a consumer centered approach to add value, expertise and energy to this stable and cohesive team.
The Role: Where you fit it
You will have exceptional communication, interpersonal skills and a commitment to quality patient care and education. You will build successful relationships with consumers and their families/whanau, which will be key to your success in this role and will enable you to achieve optimum outcomes. You will be reliable and conscientious and have a genuine interest in this exciting specialty within mental health.
Previous experience in mental health, and specific experience working with alcohol and drug addictions is desirable.
This role is a permanent, 0.94 FTE position, and follows a 4 days on, 2 days off roster pattern (encompassing a rotating roster of morning, afternoon and night shifts).
