Registered Nurse - Night shift

We are looking for an enthusiastic Registered Nurse with experience of working in the intellectual disability sector, and a current NZ Annual Practising Certificate. We will provide a comprehensive orientation to the position and support your ongoing professional development needs.

This role requires someone who is innovative, self-motivated, highly focused and passionate about improving outcomes for patients with high health needs.

This is a great opportunity to use your clinical skills and experience to assist other members of the team to ensure the care delivered to all clients is of the highest standard.

Key responsibilities include:

Planing the delivery of optimal services to clients with varying levels of complexity of care; from support with basic activities of daily living through to complex-high care needs, ensuring the care delivered is of the highest standard by engaging in professional and open communication with the support staff.

Monitoring the health, lifestyle and behavioural outcomes for the clients supported by the service and work with other health professionals to ensure quality services.

In order to achieve these objectives you will:

be able to relates to people with a learning disability in a positive and valuing manner.
have knowledge of the disability sector
show professional accountability within scope of practice
have good leadership skills with ability to motivate and support staff
have the ability to develop and maintain excellent working relationships at all levels within Brackenridge, with external organisations, Consumers and family / Whanau.
have a full Drivers License
have a clean Police record
